Subcommittees and advisory committees.

1.

The Board may appoint subcommittees and advisory committees composed of members of the Board, former members of the Board and members of the general public who have experience with or knowledge of matters relating to health care to consider specific problems or other matters within the scope of the powers, duties and functions of the Board.

2.

To the extent practicable, the members of such a subcommittee or advisory committee must be representative of the various geographic areas and ethnic groups of this State.

3.

A member of a subcommittee or an advisory committee will not be compensated or reimbursed for travel or other expenses relating to any duties as a member of the subcommittee or advisory committee.
