Advisory Committee to Commission: Establishment; membership; duties; terms of members; compensation; quorum.


1.

The Advisory Committee to the Commission is hereby established.

2.

The Committee consists of six members appointed by the Governor. The Governor shall appoint:

(a)

Two members of the Senate, one of whom must be from the majority political party and one of whom must be from the minority political party.

(b)

Two members of the Assembly, one of whom must be from the majority political party and one of whom must be from the minority political party.

(c)

Two members who are judges of a juvenile court.

3.

The Committee shall make recommendations concerning any duties assigned to the Commission.

4.

Each appointed member serves a term of 2 years. Members may be reappointed for additional terms of 2 years in the same manner as the original appointments. Any vacancy occurring in the membership of the Committee must be filled in the same manner as the original appointment not later than 30 days after the vacancy occurs.

5.

The members of the Committee serve without compensation but are entitled to receive the per diem allowance and travel expenses provided for state officers and employees generally.

6.

A majority of the members of the Committee constitutes a quorum for the transaction of business, and a majority of a quorum present at any meeting is sufficient for any official action taken by the Commission.
