As used in this chapter, unless the context requires otherwise:
1.
“Cancer” means all malignant neoplasms, regardless of the tissue of origin, including malignant lymphoma and leukemia.
2.
“Division” means the Division of Public and Behavioral Health of the Department of Health and Human Services.
3.
“Health care facility” has the meaning ascribed to it in NRS 162A.740 and also includes freestanding facilities for plastic reconstructive, oral and maxillofacial surgery.
The legislature occasionally skips outline levels.
For example:
(3) A person may apply [...]
(4)(a) A person petitioning for relief [...]
In this example, (3), (4),
and (4)(a) are all outline levels, but
(4) was
omitted by its authors. It's only implied. This presents an
interesting challenge when laying out the text. We've
decided to display a blank section with this note, in order
to aide readability.
