Issuance and renewal of license as government applicator

1.

If the Director finds that an applicant for a license as a government applicator is qualified, Director shall issue the license and collect the fee for the license established by regulation of the Director.

2.

A governmental agency certificate or license as a government applicator is valid for the period established by regulation of the Director and may be renewed as provided by regulation.

3.

A license as a government applicator:

(a)

In addition to authorizing the licensee to engage in pest control, authorizes the licensee to use a restricted-use pesticide without obtaining a certificate issued by the Director pursuant to NRS 555.357, if the licensee otherwise complies with the provisions of this chapter and any regulations adopted pursuant to this chapter governing the use of restricted-use pesticides.

(b)

May limit the licensee to the use of a certain type of equipment or material if the Director finds that the licensee is qualified to use only that type of equipment or material.

4.

If the Director denies an application for a governmental agency certificate or license as a government applicator pursuant to this section, the Director shall inform the applicant in writing of the reasons for the denial.
