Discrimination by short-term lessor against member of Armed Forces prohibited

  • penalty.

1.

No short-term lessor may:

(a)

Refuse to lease a vehicle to a member of the Armed Forces of the United States; or

(b)

Discriminate against such a person in the terms, conditions or privileges of the rental of a vehicle,
Ê because of that person’s membership in the Armed Forces.

2.

Any person who willfully violates any provision of subsection 1 is guilty of a misdemeanor.
