NRS 453A.368
Testing laboratories.


1.

The Department shall establish standards for and certify one or more private and independent testing laboratories to test marijuana, edible marijuana products and marijuana-infused products that are to be sold in this State.

2.

Such an independent testing laboratory must be able to:

(a)

Determine accurately, with respect to marijuana, edible marijuana products and marijuana-infused products that are sold or will be sold at medical marijuana dispensaries in this State:

(1)

The concentration therein of THC and cannabidiol.

(2)

The presence and identification of molds and fungus.

(3)

The composition of the tested material.

(4)

The presence of chemicals in the tested material, including, without limitation, pesticides, herbicides or growth regulators.

(b)

Demonstrate the validity and accuracy of the methods used by the independent testing laboratory to test marijuana, edible marijuana products and marijuana-infused products.

3.

To obtain certification by the Department on behalf of an independent testing laboratory, an applicant must:

(a)

Apply successfully as required pursuant to NRS 453A.322.

(b)

Pay the fees required pursuant to NRS 453A.344.

(c)

Agree to become accredited pursuant to standard ISO/IEC 17025 of the International Organization for Standardization within 1 year after certification.
