NRS 293.4685
Certain additional duties of Secretary of State

  • county and city clerks to provide information requested by Secretary of State.

1.

The Secretary of State shall:

(a)

Provide information regarding voter registration and absentee voting by Armed Forces personnel and overseas voters;

(b)

Within 90 days after the date of each general election and general city election in which electors voted for federal offices, submit to the Election Assistance Commission established pursuant to 52 U.S.C. § 20921 a report of the combined number of absentee ballots transmitted to absent Armed Forces personnel and overseas voters for the election and the combined number of such ballots that were returned by such voters and cast in the election;

(c)

Make each report submitted pursuant to paragraph (b) available to the public; and

(d)

Adopt any regulations which are necessary to comply with the provisions of the Help America Vote Act of 2002, Public Law 107-252, and which are not inconsistent with the provisions of this chapter to the extent the provisions of this chapter are consistent with the Help America Vote Act of 2002, Public Law 107-252.

2.

Each county and city clerk shall provide such information as is requested by the Secretary of State to comply with the provisions of this section.
