Custody and responsibility for certificates filed with clerk’s office

public inspection of certificates.

1.

Each county clerk shall take custody of and is responsible for all certificates of marriage filed with his or her office.

2.

All certificates of marriage on file in the office of the county clerk must, during office hours, be open for inspection by any person without charge.
