Commissioner to approve or deny registration within certain period

The Commissioner shall approve or deny an initial registration as a provider within 120 days after an application is filed. In connection with a request pursuant to subsection 19 of NRS 676A.320 for additional information, the Commissioner may extend the 120-day period for not more than 60 days. Within 7 days after denying an application, the Commissioner, in a record, shall inform the applicant of the reasons for the denial.

If the Commissioner denies an application for registration as a provider or does not act on an application within the time prescribed in subsection 1, the applicant may appeal and request a hearing pursuant to NRS 233B.121 to 233B.150, inclusive.

Subject to subsection 4 of NRS 676A.370 and NRS 676A.750, a registration as a provider is valid for 1 year.
