Any person who violates any of the provisions of this chapter or, having had his or her license suspended or revoked, continues to represent himself or herself as a marriage and family therapist, marriage and family therapist intern, clinical professional counselor or clinical professional counselor intern is guilty of a gross misdemeanor and shall be punished by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than 364 days or by a fine of not more than $5,000, or by both fine and imprisonment. Each violation is a separate offense.
The legislature occasionally skips outline levels.
For example:
(3) A person may apply [...]
(4)(a) A person petitioning for relief [...]
In this example, (3), (4),
and (4)(a) are all outline levels, but
(4) was
omitted by its authors. It's only implied. This presents an
interesting challenge when laying out the text. We've
decided to display a blank section with this note, in order
to aide readability.
