NRS 639.120
Qualifications of applicants to become registered pharmacists.
1.
Except as otherwise provided in NRS 639.134, 639.136 and 639.1365, an applicant to become a registered pharmacist in this State must:(a)
Be of good moral character.(b)
Be a graduate of a college of pharmacy or department of pharmacy of a university accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education or Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs and approved by the Board or a graduate of a foreign school who has passed an examination for foreign graduates approved by the Board to demonstrate that his or her education is equivalent.(c)
Except as otherwise provided in NRS 622.090:(1)
Pass an examination approved and given by the Board with a grade of at least 75 on the examination as a whole and a grade of at least 75 on the examination on law.(2)
If he or she is an applicant for registration by reciprocity, pass the examination on law with at least a grade of 75.(d)
Complete not less than 1,500 hours of practical pharmaceutical experience as an intern pharmacist under the direct and immediate supervision of a registered pharmacist.2.
The practical pharmaceutical experience required pursuant to paragraph (d) of subsection 1 must relate primarily to the selling of drugs, poisons and devices, the compounding and dispensing of prescriptions, preparing prescriptions and keeping records and preparing reports required by state and federal statutes.3.
The Board may accept evidence of compliance with the requirements set forth in paragraph (d) of subsection 1 from boards of pharmacy of other states in which the experience requirement is equivalent to the requirements in this State.
