Criminal penalties.


1.

Except as otherwise provided in subsections 2 and 3 of this section and NRS 638.1525, a person who violates any of the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor.

2.

A person who practices veterinary medicine without a license issued pursuant to the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a category D felony and shall be punished as provided in NRS 193.130.

3.

A person who practices as a veterinary technician without a license issued pursuant to the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a gross misdemeanor and shall be punished by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than 364 days, or by a fine of not more than $2,000, or by both fine and imprisonment.
