Claiming professional superiority

  • accepting money to cure manifestly incurable disease
  • participating in agreement to split fees or provide rebates in connection with referral of client without informing client of agreement.

The following acts, among others, are grounds for disciplinary action:

1.

Claiming or implying professional superiority over other licensees;

2.

Accepting money to cure permanently a manifestly incurable disease; and

3.

Participating in an agreement with other veterinarians or licensees of a facility or agency if:

(a)

The agreement is to split fees or provide rebates in connection with the referral of a client; and

(b)

The client has not been informed of the agreement.
