Renewal of license: Application

1.

A private professional guardian company wishing to renew a license to engage in the business of a private professional guardian shall file in the Office of the Commissioner, on or before the June 1 of the year after the year of the original issuance of the license, an application, which must contain, without limitation, the number of the license being renewed. The application for renewal must be accompanied by a renewal fee of not more than $1,500 and all information required to complete the application.

The Commissioner shall issue a renewal license to the applicant, which must be dated July 1 next ensuing the date of the application, in form and text similar to the original except that, in addition, the renewal must include the date and number of the earliest license issued.

All requirements of this chapter with respect to original licenses and bonds apply to all renewal licenses and bonds, except as otherwise provided in this section.

The Commissioner shall refuse to renew a license if at the time of application a proceeding to revoke or suspend the license is pending.

The Commissioner shall adopt regulations establishing the amount of the fee required pursuant to this section. All money collected under the provisions of this section must be deposited in the State Treasury pursuant to the provisions of NRS 658.091.
