NRS 484D.130
Turn signals.
1.
Except as provided in subsection 6, every motor vehicle, trailer, semitrailer and any vehicle which is being drawn at the end of a train of vehicles must be equipped with electric turn signal lamps, except that vehicles less than 80 inches in overall width not originally equipped with electric turn signal lamps and manufactured before July 1, 1969, are not required to be equipped with such lamps.2.
Such lamps must be located on the front and rear of any such vehicle or combination of vehicles and must indicate an intention to turn by flashing lights in the direction toward which the turn is to be made.3.
The lamps showing to the front must be mounted on the same level and as widely spaced laterally as practicable and, when signaling, must emit white or amber light, or any shade of light between white and amber.4.
The lamps showing to the rear must be mounted on the same level and as widely spaced laterally as practicable, and, when signaling, must emit red or amber light, or any shade of light between red and amber.5.
The lamps must be visible in normal sunlight from a distance of not less than 500 feet.6.
The provisions of this section do not apply to:(a)
Mopeds;(b)
Special mobile equipment, except when such equipment is being towed at the end of a train of vehicles;(c)
Motorcycles propelled by a motor producing not more than 5 brake horsepower measured at the crankshaft and having a maximum speed not exceeding 30 miles per hour upon maximum acceleration from a standing start for 1 mile on a level surface; or(d)
Towable tools or equipment.
