As used in NRS 483.900 to 483.940, inclusive, unless the context otherwise requires:
1.
“Commercial driver’s license” means a license issued to a person which authorizes the person to drive a class or type of commercial motor vehicle.
2.
“Commercial Driver’s License Information System” means the information system maintained by the Secretary of Transportation pursuant to 49 U.S.C. § 31309 to serve as a clearinghouse for locating information relating to the licensing, identification and disqualification of operators of commercial motor vehicles.
3.
“Out-of-service order” means a temporary prohibition against:
(a)
A person operating a commercial motor vehicle as such a prohibition is described in 49 C.F.R. § 395.13; or
(b)
The operation of a commercial motor vehicle as such a prohibition is described in 49 C.F.R. § 396.9(c).Administration
The legislature occasionally skips outline levels.
For example:
(3) A person may apply [...]
(4)(a) A person petitioning for relief [...]
In this example, (3), (4),
and (4)(a) are all outline levels, but
(4) was
omitted by its authors. It's only implied. This presents an
interesting challenge when laying out the text. We've
decided to display a blank section with this note, in order
to aide readability.
