Definitions.


As used in NRS 483.800:

1.

“Person who is blind” means any person whose visual acuity with correcting lenses does not exceed 20/200 in the better eye, or whose vision in the better eye is restricted to a field which subtends an angle of not greater than 20°.

“Person who is night-blind” means a person afflicted with nyctalopia.

3.

“Person who is severely visually impaired” means any person whose visual acuity with correcting lenses does not exceed 20/70 in the better eye, or whose vision in the better eye is restricted to a field which subtends an angle of not greater than 30°, or whose vision is impaired to such an extent that it materially limits, contributes to limiting or, if not corrected, will probably result in limiting the individual’s activities of functioning.
