“Fiscal year” defined.

1.

Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2, “fiscal year” means a period beginning on July 1 and ending on June 30 of the following year.

2.

A hospital’s “fiscal year” is the period of 12 months used by a hospital for the purposes of accounting and the preparation of annual budgets and financial statements.
