NRS 425.405
Adoption and enforcement of regulations for protection of privacy.

1.

The Administrator shall adopt such regulations as are required pursuant to Title IV of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. §§ 601 et seq.), either directly or as a condition to the receipt of federal money, to:

(a)

Protect the privacy of persons involved in any action or proceeding for the establishment of paternity or the establishment or enforcement of an obligation for the support of a child; and

(b)

Place appropriate restrictions on the custody, preservation, use and disclosure of any confidential information obtained by the enforcing authority in the course of such an action or proceeding or otherwise pursuant to this chapter.

2.

The regulations adopted pursuant to this section must include, without limitation:

(a)

Safeguards against the unauthorized use or disclosure of information relating to such an action or proceeding.

(b)

Prohibitions against the release of information regarding the location of a party to such an action or proceeding to another party:

(1)

Against whom a protective order with respect to the former party has been entered; or

(2)

If the enforcing authority has reason to believe that the release of the information may result in physical or emotional harm to the former party.

3.

Each enforcing authority shall comply with and enforce the regulations adopted pursuant to this section.
