NRS 425.384
Establishment of paternity: Procedure when paternity is disputed.


The master shall order blood tests or tests for the genetic identification of the child, mother and alleged father if such tests are not ordered pursuant to NRS 425.490 and:


Paternity is alleged pursuant to NRS 425.3826 and a written response denying paternity and requesting a hearing is received by the Chief within the period allowed in paragraph (g) of subsection 1 of NRS 425.3824;


Any person alleges that more than one person may be the father of the child and none of the persons alleged to be the father acknowledges paternity of the child; or


The master determines that there is a valid issue concerning the paternity of the child.
Ê The Division shall pay the costs of any tests conducted pursuant to this section. If the district court approves a recommendation establishing the paternity of a child pursuant to NRS 425.3844, the father shall reimburse the Division for the costs of those tests.


If settlement is not made after the master examines the results of the blood tests or tests for genetic identification conducted pursuant to this section or NRS 425.490, the master shall make a determination of paternity based upon the evidence presented to him.
