Annexation by town whose population is less than 25,000 in county whose population is less than 700,000: Notice.


If a town board or board of county commissioners proposes to adopt an ordinance that provides for the annexation of an area by an unincorporated town pursuant to NRS 269.650, the town board or board of county commissioners shall, at the time the title and summary of the proposed ordinance are published in a newspaper pursuant to NRS 269.155:

1.

Send a copy of the proposed ordinance by certified mail, return receipt requested, to each owner of real property in the area proposed to be annexed; and

2.

Post a notice of the proposed annexation on the Internet website, if any, established and maintained by the town board or board of county commissioners.
