As used in NRS 268.790 to 268.795, inclusive, unless the context otherwise requires:
1.
“Area” means a redevelopment area or an urban renewal area, as the case may be, within which the creation of a district is proposed.
2.
“Council” means the city council.
3.
“District” means an assessment district created to defray the cost of providing maintenance within the district.
4.
“Maintenance” means the provision of those services required to clean, incidentally repair and keep in good condition, improvements made in the district pursuant to a redevelopment plan. The term does not include the replacement of capital improvements or major repairs made to those improvements.
The legislature occasionally skips outline levels.
For example:
(3) A person may apply [...]
(4)(a) A person petitioning for relief [...]
In this example, (3), (4),
and (4)(a) are all outline levels, but
(4) was
omitted by its authors. It's only implied. This presents an
interesting challenge when laying out the text. We've
decided to display a blank section with this note, in order
to aide readability.
