Sec. § 205.4627
“Public officer” defined.


“Public officer” means a person who:

1.

Is elected or appointed to a position which is established by the Constitution or a statute of this state, or by a charter or ordinance of a political subdivision of this state; or

2.

Otherwise serves as an officer for a public body.
