Contents and publication of notice of primary or general city election.


Not later than 30 days before the primary city election and the general city election, the city clerk shall cause to be published a notice of the election in a newspaper of general circulation in the city once a week for 2 successive weeks. If a newspaper of general circulation is not published in the city, the publication may be made in a newspaper of general circulation published within the county in which the city is located. If a newspaper of general circulation is not published in that county, the publication may be made in a newspaper of general circulation published in the nearest Nevada county. The notice must contain:

1.

The date of the election.

2.

The location of the polling places.

3.

The hours during which the polling places will be open for voting.

4.

The names of the candidates.

5.

A list of the offices to which the candidates seek nomination or election.
